Web Developer

We're looking for a web developer who has the drive to go from good to great. You will work under the lead developer and be involved in all aspects of the development process ( client-side, server-side, support, etc. ). We will expect you to participate in brainstorming, scoping, and prototyping. This person needs to be a self-starter who thrives in a start-up environment.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years experience. Must show 3-5 examples of work.

Client Side development

• Standards based and accessible CSS/XHTML
• Workable knowledge of JavaScript
• Some experience with Flash or ActionScript
• Knowledge of Browser compatibility issues

Server Side development

• Server side scripting (primarily PHP)
• Workable knowledge of MySQL - views, procedures, etc.
• Familiarity with OOP terms and concepts

Our Development Environment

• Macintosh platform
• Adobe CS3 (mostly Photoshop)
• Apache web server
• Subversion

Bonus Points

• Ruby on Rails experience
• SQLite experience
• SEM, SEO experience
• JavaScript Frameworks (YUI, jQuery)
• eCommerce integration
• iPhone or iPad programming experience

Web Developer Intern

Our web development interns should to be enthusiastic techie types who have a eye for design. As our intern you will be involved in all aspects of the development process. We will expect you to take an active roll in brainstorming, scoping, and front end developing.

By the end of the summer you will have gained a practical application of web development in a creative atmosphere, and a few wicked projects to back up those skills.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of CSS/HTML
• Some knowledge of server side scripting languages, such as PHP or Ruby
• Some knowledge of MySQL databases
• Currently enrolled in a CS or IT related program (recent graduates are welcome to apply)
• Strong attention to detail

Bonus Points

• Some knowledge of Flash and ActionScript
• Some knowledge of Design concepts and practices
• Some knowledge of iPhone or iPad programming
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop CS3

Down to Business

• Unpaid internship
• Internships last 10-12 weeks

• Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
